Foam fire trucks (gun cars) are necessary equipment for fighting fires in oil, chemical, factories and mines, and port cargo yards. Because it also has the performance of a tank fire truck, proper use of a foam fire engine is a matter worthy of attention for every fire commander. Due to the special performance of foam fire trucks, it is determined that most of the fires faced by such fire engines are petrochemicals and other dangerous fire sites. Such fires have the characteristics of high burning speed, many changes in the fire conditions, high probability of explosive combustion, and large threats to fire engines and combat personnel. Therefore, in order for the foam fire truck to reach a favorable position on the fire, it can quickly start fire fighting. 

Must pay attention to the following points:

1. The foam fire truck should face the fire on the side and back, and quickly water, increase to the appropriate pressure (for Dongfeng fire engine, for example, the pressure when using the PQ8 gun is ≥0.686MP, the pressure when the car gun is used is ≥0.785MP), Open the pressure water cock, then open the bubble tank outlet ball valve, adjust the mixer to the proper position, aim at the center of the flame and spray the foam liquid.

2. When the use of foam guns for close combat, fire engines should be provided with necessary protection according to the fire situation. The body can be covered with asbestos cloth and covered with water mist when needed.

3. During the entire fire fighting process, the driver must stick to his position and pay constant attention to the immediate remaining amount of the foam liquid in the vehicle, and add foam liquid in time.
